Bomber Friends by Hyperkani Review

B O M B E R     F R  I E N D S

I have been looking for an android game that is similar to the game I used to play in my old Nokia phone the 'Explode Arena' and this game is just what I'm looking for.  Bomber Friends by Hyperkani is a game intended for those android gamers who enjoys playing with multiple players. The game features a classic bomber game with an immensely hectic and fun online multiplayer option.  Blowing up bricks and enemies in various mazes is the main rule of this game just like 'Explode Arena' and the classic 'Bomberman' game that we all love.

This game features powerups that lets players get more powerful bombs to blast enemies from across the map and in order to win the match you have to be the last one to survive. But even if you get blasted, dead bombers can still haunt the living players and make their play harder with curses as you pass along your enemies.

The game also allows users to customize their own avatar. The recent update made by Hyperkani allows users to change the avatar’s face, hairstyle, hair color, hats, taunts and even greetings. However, it would've been better if they'll also let users change the avatar's costumes.

The cartoony graphics  of this game look like something that could be produced on any of the 16 bit machines a couple of years ago, but the  graphics have never been the driving force of a classic game like this.

This game provides an excellent example of fun and thrill. The online multiplayer is a blast, and Hyperkani clearly concentrated a lot of their resources into crafting it. They did a lot of decent updates prior to the players requests.  However, the training mode was also an enjoyable experience and the AI's are just as good as I expected.

What are the drawbacks of this game? For one, there aren't enough maps and mode levels. The ghosts are a little bit overpowered and I think they shouldn't include them because it's annoying. The developers should have added more powerups and the ability to move bombs and push them through blocks. The game also needs better control and the ads got quite intrusive after the most recent update. One thing that I'm also concern about is the duration of the play. A single play is covered for only 2 minutes and it should not restart the game when someone leaves. The game should have a fixed length when playing with friends. Syncing and connectivity with other players and friends has also become a huge issue too. It would say I am disconnected when accepting an invite even though I have perfect Wi-Fi reception. Overall this game provides an entertainment package that surpasses other android multiplayer games.

A good multiplayer game that plays really well on the phone.
